"Her personality is perfectly reflected by the music of Mozart."Theodor Parascivesco, Conservatorie National Superieure de Musique et de Danse from Paris
The future belongs to Multidisciplinary Creations. While our culture is rapidly changing due to the development of the new technologies, the piano still plays an important role and it is a symbol of imagination, elegance, discipline and "togetherness".

Multifaceted artist born in North-Eastern Romania, Lia first met the piano at an early age thanks to her parents. Lia's talent was acknowledged when she entered the “Octav Bancila” National College of Arts from Iasi, Romania where she was enrolled due to her perfect pitch and musical intuition. She received artistical guidance from the distinguished Professors Carmen Soltuz and Mihaela Constantin and she attended Masterclasses with the illustrious Professors Andreas Henkel (Dresden), Silke-Thora Matthies (Switzerland), Walter Kraft (Munchen) and Theodore Paraschivesco (Paris).

At age 8 she won the Second Prize in the National J.S Bach Piano Competition held in Klausenburg, Romania and since then she participated in piano competitions around the country. She won numerous awards, such as Fourth Prize at Golden Lira International Piano Competition, first Prize in the Carl Czerny National Competition, Second Prize in the George Georgescu National Competition or First Prizes in the National Olympics. These Prizes lead to the awarding of an Excellence Diploma, a Certificate of Merit and a Festartelis Certificate conferred by the Iasi City Hall, Romania.

Since 2005 she was invited to perform abroad during the “Spring Festival” at San Pierre in France and “Socrates Comenius Introspection” Intercultural Project at Santiago de Compostela – Noia, Spain, where she proudly represented the National College of Arts from Iasi. In 2006, at age 17, she gave her first solo recital at the Romanian Cultural Institute “Titu Maiorescu” from Berlin, Germany where she happily performed chamber music as well as four-handed piano music.

In 2008, after passing a competitive exam, she was admitted to the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien among the first candidates from all over the world. She was privileged to study with the distinguished Professors Otto Probst, Mihaela Ursuleasa, and Klaus Sticken, for whose guidance is deeply and eternally grateful. She collaborated with singers from the Vienna State Opera and she presented contemporary music in first world audition at the Bezirksmuseum Josefstadt and at the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Musik in Vienna.

Later on, she had her debut at the prestigious Ateneo Veneto in Venice, Italy, where she was chosen to celebrate the genius of the Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu by launching in first world audition the piano composition "Reading Eve on the Hill". In 2010 she was named Artist in Residence by the Cultural Institute of Romania in Paris, where she concluded a research on the Romanian composer George Enescu. In 2015 she had her debut on the London stage, at the invitation of the Romanian Culture Institut, at The Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields.

On June 1st 2017 she performed at the Klimt Villa in Vienna, where she had the privilege of meeting the niece of the famous painter Gustav Klimt.

In August 2017, she was invited by RKI Wien and Technische Universität Wien to give a solo concert in Vienna that marked the opening of the International Summer School of the University of Technology and COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology). At the Summer School, Austrian and international researchers attended, and the concert was part of the series of events dedicated to the 100th birthday of the pianist and composer Dinu Lipatti (March 19, 1917 – December 2, 1950). Also, on January 15, she was the protagonist of the musical moment together with the actors Mercedes Echerer and Gerhard Brössner at the Wiener Theater Museum during the Romanian Culture Days in Vienna.

In 2018, at the Invitation of the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Lithuania and the Republic of Latvia, she gave a piano recital dedicated to Livia Maiorescu Demsiene at Ilzenberg Manor, Lithuania.

As a composer, she was privileged to participate with Movie Soundtracks and compositions for piano and other instruments in the Hans Zimmer International Mixing Contest, Take Festival and Aufwind Festival in 2017 in Vienna.

Since April 2017 she teaches piano at Wiener SangerKnaben in Austria and she believes that art makes people happier and the world a better place. She also studied Architecture at Technische Universität Wien and Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and she is fond of French Movies and ice skating.

“Introspection, historical and cultural framework of the musical compositions are essential for achieving authenticity. With every challenge comes an opportunity. I encourage the dialogue between Science and The Arts."

She speaks English, French, German, and Italian.
